This Date in History - Sleepy Floyd sets NBA Playoff record for points in a quarter (5/10/87)
On May 10th 1987, the Warriors faced the Lakers in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. Entering the fourth quarter, the Warriors trailed by 14 points. Sleepy Floyd took over the game, scoring 29 points in the quarter, more than anyone has ever scored in a quarter of an NBA playoff game. He finished the game with 51 points leading the Warriors to the 129 121 victory.
