This Date in History - Philadelphia 76ers Retire Charles Barkley's Uniform (3/30/01)
On March 30th, 2001, the Philadelphia 76ers retired the No. 34 in honor of Charles Barkley, who played eight seasons for the Sixers from 1984 to 1992. Barkley became the seventh player in 76ers' history to have his number retired.
