History of Toronto basketball
In 1946, the city of Toronto hosted the first game in NBA history as the Knicks took on the Toronto Huskies. The Huskies lasted only one season, but nearly a half century later in 1995, the Toronto Raptors were born. In 1998, Vince Carter became the face of the franchise inspiring a new generation of Canadian ballers. And now the Raptors have taken an entire nation on an incredible ride to the NBA Finals.
