WNBA 2021 Schedule: Key dates ahead of league's landmark 25th season

2021 is a landmark year for the WNBA as the league celebrates its landmark 25th season.

The special year is also commemorated with a 25th season logo and a new campaign Count It.

That's not all. The season will also be used to determine 'The WNBA's 25 Greatest Moments'. There are also new uniforms and even a new ball.

What are the Key Dates from WNBA's 2021 season?

May 14 is when the historic season tips off and it begins with Sabrina Ionescu, the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2020, and the New York Liberty taking on the Indiana Fever. The Seattle Storm's title defence begins on May 15 when they take on the Liz Cambage and the Las Vegas Aces.

That's not the only noteworthy date of the season.

April 15: WNBA Draft

April 25: Training Camp begins

May 1: Pre-season Games Begin

May 11: Last Possible Date for Pre-season Games

May 13: Final Roster Cut-Down Date: 12 players, 5:00 pm EST.

May 14: WNBA Season Begins

July 11: Last Date for Games Before Olympic Break

July 15 - August 11: Olympic Break

August 15: Second Half Schedule Begins

August 21: Trade Deadline, 8:00 pm EST

September 19: Last Day of Regular Season

September 23: Playoffs Begin:

October 19: Last Possible Finals Date
