WNBA free agency begins on Monday, Feb. 1 as teams and players can finalize deals and sign contracts and offer sheets.
Among big names to keep an eye on during the 2021 free agency period are veterans Candace Parker, Diana Taurasi, Seimone Augustus, Sue Bird, Alyssa Thomas and Tina Charles, who will certainly command interest as unrestricted free agents. While we're unlikely to see all of the big-name free agents move on, any of the aforementioned six moving on would be considered a major splash.
Below, find a list of some of the most notable, unrestricted, restricted, core and reserved free agents ahead of the 2021 WNBA season.
Note: The Core designation gives a team exclusive negotiating rights with a player. Players can receive a Core designation only three times in their career; in 2022, it will be two times in their careers. Reserved Players are players with three or fewer years of service that receive a Qualifying Offer to earn that designation. The player's prior team has exclusive negotiating rights.
