When does training camp start?

The first key date to know for the 2018-19 NBA preseason is Tuesday, Sept. 25. On this day, training camp opens for all NBA teams.

Teams that are participating in the NBA Preseason Global Games will be allowed to report to training camp four days prior, on Friday, Sept. 21.

When do the preseason games begin?

Three days after teams report to training camp, the preseason games begin.

On Friday, Sept. 28, the Philadelphia 76ers kick off the start of the 2018 preseason, facing off against Australia's Melbourne United at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

On the same night, there will be head-to-head NBA action at the Dean Smith Center in Durham, North Carolina. The Boston Celtics will take on the Charlotte Hornets.

The Toronto Raptors will play their first preseason game the following night, Saturday, Sept. 29, taking on the Portland Trail Blazers at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

The NBA Preseason Global Games features the 76ers and the Dallas Mavericks, facing off in Shanghai on Friday, Oct. 5 and in Shenzhen on Monday, Oct. 8.

When is the conclusion of the preseason?

Preseason games conclude with the Los Angeles Lakers facing off against the Golden State Warriors on Friday, Oct. 12, just four days before the regular season opener.

On Monday, Oct. 15, teams must set their rosters for the start of the season by 5 p.m. Eastern Time.

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, the 2018-19 NBA regular season begins.
