What is the Grammy Trip? Tracking the LA Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers' lengthy road swings

The 62nd Grammy Awards ceremony takes place on January 26, 2020, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

If you're wondering what exactly that has to do with the NBA, it's that the league's two tenants of that very same venue - the LA Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers - will each hit the road for a five-game road trip.

It's what's come to be known as the annual "Grammy Trip."

With the demands of setting up what is arguably the world's biggest music awards ceremony, both teams will leave LA nine days prior to the show. This year, the two teams will combine to travel over 35,000 kilometres in under 10 days.

Once they return home, they'll face one another for the third time this season - less than two days after the ceremony ends.

What will each team's Grammy Trip entail in 2020? Here's more of what's in store for both the Clippers and Lakers.
