With nine minutes left in the third quarter, the Lakers held their largest lead of 17 (70-53) over the Wizards and looked to set to record a win and snap the visitors' four-game win streak.
Instead, Washington came roaring back, sparked by their superstar backcourt of Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal.

The duo stuffed the stat sheet and were responsible for a majority of the team's comeback rally including all of their 12 points in overtime.

The 127-124 comeback win extends the Wizards win streak to five while handing the Lakers their third straight loss, and the fourth in their last five.
More importantly, this recent streak improves the Wizards to 11-17 - good for 13th in the East but just a couple of games behind the eighth-seeded Chicago Bulls.
Bench rally behind Westbrook and Beal
The Wizards bench came up huge when it mattered, with 29 of their 33 points coming during the comeback. Raul Neto (four points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals), Deni Avdija (eight points, eight rebounds, two assists), Robin Lopez (13 points, two rebounds, two blocks) were the top contributors.
Those performances proved to be a huge assist in what was one of Westbrook's best games of the season. Not only did he did commit a season-low two turnovers but also became only the 13th player in NBA history to record at least 7,500 career assists.

Meanwhile, the league's leading-scorer Beal did what he does best - score, putting up 30 or more for the 18th time this season
LBJ does it all as minutes pile up
With no Anthony Davis, LeBron James had to do it all and he did.
The King played 43 minutes and finished with 31 points, 13 assists, and nine rebounds. This is the seventh time in 11 February games, including three straight overtime clashes, that James has played 37 minutes or more.
But he didn't want to have any discussion on his playtime time or the need to rest games.
"This whole narrative of (I) need more rest … I don't talk about it," James said postgame. I don't believe in it. We all need more rest, shit. But I'm here to work, to punch my clock in and be available to my teammates."
A total of five Lakers scored in double figures including 20-point outings from Montrezl Harrell (26 points, nine rebounds in 23 minutes) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (21 points).
With the loss, they slip to the third seed in the West with a record of 22-10.
The Wizards will remain in Los Angeles and put their win streak on the line against the Clippers on the second night of a back-to-back. On the other hand, the Lakers will look to snap their current skid in Salt Lake City against the Jazz in a couple of days.
