Tonight marks DeMar DeRozan's first time playing in Toronto since being traded to the San Antonio Spurs this offseason.
DeRozan spent his first nine seasons in the league as the Raptors' franchise player, earning his way to four All-Star selections and two All-NBA selections.
He was loved by the fans, the players and the organization, and it was inevitable that he would be welcomed with open arms in an emotional return to a place he called home.
The night began with a loud roar from the home crowd during starters' introductions.
Then, during the first timeout in the first quarter, he was given a heartfelt tribute video summarizing his time in Toronto. DeRozan was given a standing ovation for the ages from a fan base that loves him oh-so-much.
