When Vince Carter made his debut in the NBA's lockout-shortened season in 1999, it didn't take long for him to become one of the most exciting players in a post-Michael Jordan NBA.

He electrified crowds with his highwire act earning the nickname "Air Canada" Carter.

Carter averaged 18.3 per points for the Raptors that season and went on to claim the Rookie of the Year. The league was put on notice in his rookie campaign, the Raptors were on the rise and Vince Carter was leading the charge.
