Victor Oladipo left Wednesday's game between the Indiana Pacers and Toronto Raptors on a stretcher with an apparent knee injury.

An MRI Thursday revealed that Oladipo suffered a ruptured quadriceps tendon in his right knee and the team announced that he will undergo surgery that will sideline him for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.

Oladipo suffered the injury with 4:05 remaining in the second quarter when he tried to chase down a pass from Kyle Lowry to Pascal Siakam in transition. Oladipo fell to the floor, immediately looked at his knee and signalled to the sideline for medical attention. A towel was then placed over his knee.

Oladipo acknowledged Pacers fans at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse as he was taken off the court by putting his arms in the air.

Paul George and LeBron James are among the NBA players who have since tweeted their thoughts and prayers.
