The Utah Jazz sit in the middle of the Western Conference playoff race, but their run home could see them finish much, much higher.

With 14 games remaining on their schedule and the team currently sitting with a 39-29 record, they're predicted to storm into the playoffs and shoot up the standings.

Led by Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, the Jazz have the easiest schedule of every NBA team and by some margin as well, according to teamrankings.

With games to come against the Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards (twice), Chicago Bulls and the New York Knicks, the Jazz are predicted to finish the season approximately 49-33.

That would see them finish 10-4 and in full flight heading into the playoffs.

Based on the projections for their remaining games, the Jazz's least favoured to win game is their final one of the season against the Los Angeles Clippers.

All other games left on their schedule they have a better than 55% chance of winning, with only three in total under the 60% mark.

If the Jazz are to finish the season with a 49-33, going off of last season, they would finish with the third best record in the Western Conference.

A 49-win season would almost certainly secure the Jazz homecourt advantage in the first round.

If we lock the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets away into the top two spots, the rest of the board is open.

So if the Jazz were to finish as the third or even fourth seed, their potential opponents would be either the Portland Trail Blazers or the more tantalising prospect of another first-round showdown against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

While nothing in the NBA is certain, the Jazz know what's at stake for their run to the playoffs and with the chance to secure home court advantage on the line, expect them to not take their foot off in any game that most would write off as a certain victory.

One step further is grabbing hold of the third seed and avoiding a potential meeting with the Golden State Warriors until the Western Conference Finals, it may seem a longshot but when you look at the schedule, anything is possible.
