Miami Heat rookie Duncan Robinson etched his name in the NBA record books on multiple occasions during the first half against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Becoming an integral part of the Heat rotation after going undrafted, Robinson knocked down his 226th long range bomb midway through the first quarter, giving him the single season record for made 3-pointers made by an undrafted player.

While that record is impressive in itself, just minutes later the 25-year-old buried his second triple of the night, allowing him to pass Wayne Ellington (226) for the single season Miami franchise record.

Remarkably, Ellington took 77 games to bury 226 triples while Robinson is playing just his 62nd game.
The Michigan product has become just the fourth Miami player in franchise history to top 200 3-point makes in a season, joining Ellington, Damon Jones and Tim Hardaway.
Prior to tonight, Robinson was connecting on 44.6 percent of his 8.1 long range attempts per game, the highest percentage in the entire NBA among the 28 players averaging at least seven attempts per game.
One of the surprise impact players in the league this season, Erik Spoelstra and the Heat will be hoping their rookie continues his incredible shooting throughout the 2020 postseason.
