The Atlanta Hawks continue their march towards the playoffs, snapping their three-game skid with a 108-97 win over the Chicago Bulls to complete the season sweep.

Trae Young led the way with 33 points and seven assists on 9-of-14 from the field, 4-of-8 from the 3-point line and 11-of-12 at the free-throw line, while Clint Capela recorded his 43rd double-double in 57 games this season with 20 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.

While their success this season has been largely due to their depth, it's hard to ignore one of the most damaging one-two punches in the league this season in Young and Capela.

Young's scoring and 3-point attempts are down this season as he continues to find different ways to punish teams, dishing out a career-high 9.5 assists per game — most of them to Swiss big man.

They were back at it again against the Bulls, tormenting them in the pick-and-roll, with a 'pick your poison' approach.

In the second quarter, they combined for yet another alley-oop play as Capela set the screen for Young, who attracts the attention of three defenders, before finding a cutting big man for the alley-oop flush.

The combination of the gravity Young attracts and the threat of Capela finding his way to the rim puts defences into a no-win situation.

Young has traded in his penchant for launching logo threes to becoming one of the best pick-and-roll players in the league, ranking first in the NBA in points scored out of the pick-and-roll at 13.6 per game.

“Obviously, he’s the guy that makes the first choice in handling the ball, he makes the plays and most of the time he’s made the right choices before,” Capela said of Young recently.

“We’re here because he’s our leader on the court. He’s the guy who makes the difference with his passes or his shot, whatever he sees, and it’s been really huge for us."

Of Capela's 244 assisted field goals this season, 119 have come from Young. To strengthen the case of that connection, according to InStat, 67 of Capela's 77 alley-oop finishes have come out of Young's hands, forming one of the league's premiere lob threat duos.

Injuries have disrupted the team of late, but with Young and Capela back in the lineup, alongside Danilo Gallinari, Bogdan Bogdanovic and John Collins the 35-30 Hawks are primed to make some noise in the playoffs after a three-year absence.
