Toronto Raptors remain perfect at home, use big first half vs. Utah Jazz to earn seventh-straight win

The Toronto Raptors used a massive first half to set the tone as they earned a 20-point win over the Utah Jazz Sunday night.

The Raptors, winners of seven straight, advance to 15-4 on the season and are now a perfect 9-0 at Scotiabank Arena in the 2019-20 season.

Pascal Siakam's 35 points led the way for Toronto, which also enjoyed the performances of Fred VanVleet (21 points, 11 assists), Norman Powell (15 points) and Serge Ibaka (13 points), who returned to action after missing the last 10 games with an ankle injury.

Utah was led by 20 points from Mike Conley, while Donovan Mitchel scored 16 points and Rudy Gobert recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Jazz scored a franchise-record 47 points in the third quarter and now trail 107-86 after trailing by 40 at the half.

Mike Conley is up to 20 points to lead the Jazz while Donovan Mitchell has scored 16 and Rudy Gobert has posted a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double.

For Toronto, Pascal Siakam has a game-high 33 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists while Fred VanVleet is up to 18 points, 10 assists and five rebounds.

In his first game back from injury, Serge Ibaka has come alive in the third, scoring eight points in the frame.

Utah has now outscored Toronto 42-18 in the third to inch towards being within striking distance.

Toronto's 77 first-half points are two shy of a franchise-record, its 40-point advantage is the largest halftime lead in franchise history.

The Toronto Raptors have built a 40-point halftime lead over the Utah Jazz after putting forth a dominant first-half performance.

Toronto is led by 26 points from Pascal Siakam, who is 10-for-15 from the field and 4-for-6 from 3-point range so far.

Norman Powell and Marc Gasol have scored 11 points apiece while both Fred VanVleet and Terence Davis have scored nine points each.

VanVleet has also dished out eight assists and grabbed five rebounds.

Utah is led by 10 points from reserve Jeff Green, who has been the biggest bright spot for the team.

Behind 19 points from Pascal Siakam, Toronto takes a 37-20 lead into the second quarter.

Marc Gasol has also been impressive early on as he has hit three triples and scored 11 points of his own early on.

While Norman Powell has scored just five points, he has three steals, part of the reason the Raptors have forced seven Jazz turnovers early on.

Utah is led by five points from both Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley. It's shooting 8-for-20 from the field and 3-for-10 from beyond the arc after one.
