Matchup: Toronto Raptors vs. Dallas Mavericks
Records: Raptors (4-8), Mavericks (6-6)
Where to Watch
Date: Monday, Jan. 18
Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
Location: Amalie Arena, Tampa, FL
After earning two straight wins over the Charlotte Hornets, the Raptors are back in action as they welcome Luka Doncic and the Mavericks to Tampa for the first of two meetings this season.
Toronto earned its most recent wins by three points each, getting crucial stops down the stretch to prevent overtime.
In the last time out, it was Norman Powell that led the offensive charge for the Raptors, coming off the bench to score a team-high 24 points as he hit six of his nine 3-point attempts. In addition to Powell, Chris Boucher continued his stellar play off the bench to score 20 points and pull down nine rebounds in 31 minutes while Kyle Lowry led all starters with 19 points, including a clutch jumper down the stretch that would put Toronto ahead for good.

With two straight wins under their belt, the Raptors look to inch closer back to .500 after an uncharacteristically poor start to the season. As of late, the team has made positive strides, it is only now that these developments have begun translating into wins.
While Toronto has won two straight, Dallas enters the meeting having lost its last two games.
After losing a close one on the road to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, the Mavericks suffered a 16-point home loss to the Bulls on Sunday, as Luka Doncic's 36-point, 16-rebound, 15-assist triple-double wasn't enough to get the job done.

While Kristaps Porzingis finished with 20 points and eight rebounds in just his third game of the season, Dallas could not overcome the absence of Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jalen Brunson, who were each inactive. The Mavs are "hopeful" that Brunson can return when they visit the Raptors.
Of course, all eyes will be on Dallas' 21-year-old MVP candidate in Doncic, who shot just 5-for-14 (35.7%) from the field and recorded seven turnovers in his lone appearance against Toronto last season. With Doncic sidelined during the next meeting, the Raptors staged a historic comeback from down 30 points in the third quarter to defeat the Mavs in regulation.
OG Anunoby will be one of many Raptors tasked with making life difficult for Doncic, while it is unclear whether or not Porzingis is ready to play on both ends of a back-to-back.
