The Toronto Raptors began the final road trip on Thursday night as the team takes the Windy City to face the Chicago Bulls.

While the Raptors have been mathematically eliminated from postseason contention, the Bulls held on to a slim chance to qualify for the Play-In Tournament with a win Thursday night.

9:59 p.m. –  After a 3-pointer from Stanley Johnson made it a single-digit game, Chicago responded with a 5-0 run to make it a 14-point game again.

The Bulls lead 107-93 with 4:51 remaining.

Johnson has upped his career-high to 31 points.

9:52 p.m. –  Make it a career night for Stanley Johnson, too.

Johnson is up to 28 points now to lead all scorers, an amazing figure considering he had scored 23 points in the eight games leading into this one.

As an impending free agent, Johnson is showing plenty of what he's capable of adding to a team.

End of Third Quarter: Chicago Bulls 88, Toronto Raptors 76

9:44 p.m. –  Toronto closes the quarter on a 14-4 run to make the deficit much more manageable in the final quarter.

Stanley Johnson is up to 21 points to go along with eight rebounds, four assists and three steals to lead the way for Toronto, while Zach LaVine's 16 points lead the way for Chicago.

The Bulls need to hold on to keep Play-In hopes alive while the Raptors young guys can play spoiler.

9:32 p.m. –  Chicago's lead has ballooned to 22 points as the third frame winds down.

The Bulls lead 84-62 with 4:20 left in the quarter.

For the Raptors, Jalen Harris has set a new career-high with 17 points, which is also a game-high up to this point. Stanley Johnson (15), Khem Birch (11) and Malachi Flynn (11) are the other Raptors in double figures.

Coby White leads the Bulls with 15 points, while Zach LaVine (14), Nikola Vucevic (12) and Lauri Markkanen (12) are all in double-figures.

9:03 p.m. –  One half down, one to go, and Toronto trails by 19.

At the half, the Bulls are shooting 26-for-45 (57.8 percent) from the field and 11-for-21 (52.4 percent) from deep. Lauri Markkanen and Coby White lead the way with 12 points apiece while Nikola Vucevic has 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists.

The Raptors are shooting an icy-cold 4-for-17 (23.5 percent) from deep and are led by 12 points from rookie Jalen Harris, who is starting for the first time in his carer. Stanley Johnson is the only other Raptor in double figures with 10 points but Khem Birch (9) and Malachi Flynn (8) aren't far behind.

8:55 p.m. –  With 2:26 remaining in the half, the  Bulls lead 62-46.

The game is beginning to get away from Toronto, which has turned to Aron Baynes for the first time in over a month.

He's already gotten on the board, too.

8:50 p.m. –  Coby White has now made his claim for the highlight of the night.

8:44 p.m. –  INJURY UPDATE: Yuta Watanabe has exited the game with ankle soreness and will not return.

8:39 p.m. –  A quick 7-0 run from the Bulls brings the deficit to double digits.

Chicago leads 42-31 with 9:13 remaining in the half.

End of First Quarter: Chicago Bulls 30, Toronto Raptors 27

8:34 p.m. –  One quarter is in the books and the Bulls lead by three.

All-Stars Nikola Vucevic (10) and Zach LaVine (6) have combined for 16 points to pace Chicago's offence, which is shooting a blistering 56.5 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from 3.

Jalen Harris leads the way for the Raptors with 10 points while Khem Birch and DeAndre' Bembry have each scored six points.

8:18 p.m. –  We've reached the first break in the action and things are all knotted up.

It's 11-11 with 6:51 remaining in the first quarter.

Khem Birch and Jalen Harris have done all of the scoring for the Raptors, as Birch has a game-high six points while Harris has scored five points on 2-for-2 shooting.

For the Bulls, both Nikola Vucevic and Coby White have scored five points early on.
