The Toronto Raptors title defence will officially begin in Quebec City.

The team today announced that it will hold training camp for the 2019-20 season at Laval University from Sept. 29-Oct. 3, marking the first time the Raptors will hold training camp in the province of Quebec.

In an official release, Raptors head coach Nick Nurse stated that, “As Canada’s team, we felt it was important to go out and visit somewhere we’ve never been before. We’re really looking forward to taking advantage of the excellent facilities at Laval, which we know is one of Canada’s great sporting schools, and to soaking in the incredible old-world atmosphere of Quebec.”

This is the 12th time that the Raptors will hold training camp outside of Ontario – last season, the team officially started its season in Vancouver, BC, hosting a preseason game at the Rogers Centre at the conclusion of camp.
