Report: Jeremy Lin finalizing a buyout with Atlanta Hawks, to sign with Toronto Raptors

Jeremy Lin is finalizing a buyout with the Atlanta Hawks and is expected to sign with the Toronto Raptors, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wojnarowski also stated that the buyout is supposed to be completed Monday and Lin is expected to sign with the Raptors 'as soon as mid-week'.

Lin has played in 51 games for the Hawks this season, averaging 10.7 points, 3.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game.

He is no stranger to big games at Scotiabank Arena as he scored 20 points to go with nine assists in the Hawks and Raptors meeting earlier this season.

Dating even further back than that, in 2012 during his 'Linsanity' run he recorded a double-double of 27 points and 11 assists before burying a game-winning 3-pointer to beat the Raptors.

He will play a role as a backup guard to Kyle Lowry and Danny Green alongside Fred VanVleet and Norman Powell.
