Patrick McCaw has been sidelined since March 30 with a sprained right thumb, but he is set to make his return on Friday when the Orlando Magic host the Toronto Raptors for Game 3 of their first-round series.

McCaw averaged only 2.7 points in the 26 games he played with the Raptors during the regular season, but he gives Toronto another versatile defender who, as TSN's Josh Lewenberg noted, can match up with the likes of Terrence Ross and Evan Fournier on Orlando.

That's even more important with the defensive-minded OG Anunoby possibly being out until the Eastern Conference Finals — should the Raptors make it that far — after undergoing an emergency appendectomy last week.

McCaw has experience playing in big postseason games. He appeared in a total of 21 playoff games during his time with the Golden State Warriors, even starting in three games during their 2017 run.

McCaw averaged 3.1 points, 1.7 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.5 steals per game in the playoffs as a member of the Warriors.
