Toronto Raptors All-Star forward Pascal Siakam talks hobbies, missing basketball and more on ESPN's SportsCenter

What's the best way to celebrate a birthday? For Toronto Raptors All-Star Pascal Siakam, turning 26 meant an interview with ESPN's SportsCenter.

From newfound hobbies to staying in shape while he anticipates basketball's eventual return, here's what Siakam had to say.

On his birthday plans:

"Just kick back, relax. Obviously, with everything that's going on, (there's) not much you can do. So just staying (at) home with my family to have a good time."

On improving his culinary skills:

"I'm learning how to cook now with the quarantine, I have to learn how to make a couple of meals here and there.

"Right now, it's the spaghetti with eggs that we always do…it's one of the specials that we always make in the morning, so I'm learning to do that. It's a Cameroon special, so I'm doing that now easily."

On his day-to-day schedule:

"Wake up, try to get a workout in, I think that's the most important thing, just try to stay in shape as much as I can. (Then) get some food, relax. I just actually got a piano, so I'm learning, watching YouTube and trying to learn the piano. I've always loved music, growing up music was always a big part of my life so that's something I'm doing, just trying to learn on that and it's been fun.

On purchasing an outdoor basketball goal:

"I got a basketball hoop. We gotta try to find ways to play, we can't go in any team's gyms or anything like that. So, I have a basketball hoop, trying to get some shots up and try to stay ready."

On the NBA finding ways to get back to action:

"To be honest, I miss basketball. I just miss basketball so much and at this point, we all know that we've gotta look at the people that know what's going on. I'm just kinda trusting whatever they suggest that's best for us.

"I trust the NBA, I trust the league and Adam Silver and the job he's been able to do. He's been incredible and I trust that whatever they're gonna do or whatever is gonna come out of this is gonna be best for everyone and the league

"I'm just staying safe, staying away with my family, making sure that I'm healthy and whenever the season kicks back in and whatever they decide to do, I'm just ready to be out there and play. I miss basketball."
