Report: Toronto Raptors call up Chris Boucher from G League

With Jonas Valanciunas set to miss at least a month after undergoing surgery on his left thumb, the Toronto Raptors have reportedly called Chris Boucher up from the G League.

Boucher will be with the Raptors on Friday when they take on Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Boucher signed a two-way contract with the Raptors before the season began and has been playing primarily in the G League for the team's affiliate, the Raptors 905. Through 14 games, Boucher is averaging 29.0 points, 11.6 rebounds and 4.6 blocks per contest.

Boucher was named the G League Player of the Month for November and recently broke the 905's scoring record - previously set by him - with 47 points against the Oklahoma City Blue. He also blocked nine shots and grabbed eight rebounds in that game.

MORE: Who is Chris Boucher?

Boucher has played four NBA games in his career, one with the Golden State Warriors last season and three with the Raptors this season. He last played with the Raptors in a blowout win over the Atlanta Hawks on Nov. 21.
