The Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs continued on with the regularly scheduled tip off of their game on Sunday following the news that Kobe Bryant reportedly died on Sunday in a helicopter crash.

The Raptors won the opening tip and proceeded to take a 24-second shot clock violation.

On the ensuing possession the Spurs then also took a 24-second shot clock violation.

Bryant wore No. 24 and No. 8 over his 20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. As both the Raptors and Spurs took shot clock violations in honour of Bryant, the crowd at the AT&T Center in San Antonio began chanting "Kobe" and rose to give a standing ovation.
