Kevin Durant etched his name in the record books, passing Carmelo Anthony to become Team USA men's all-time leading scorer.

He needed six points heading into tonight's game to break Anthony's record of 336 and midway through the second quarter of their pool game against the Czech Republic, he pulled up for a 3-pointer to move to 339 points all-time.

Durant finished with 23 points to go with a team-high eight rebounds and six assists to lead the United States to a crucial win over the Czechs.

Durant is competing in his third Olympic Games after previously winning gold medals at London 2012 and Rio 2016, with his feat even more impressive given Anthony needed four Olympics to reach that number.

Anthony has won three Olympic golds (2008, 2012, 2016) and a bronze in Athens 2004. If Durant wins gold in Tokyo, he will tie Anthony for the most Olympic gold's in USA men's basketball history.
