Stephon Marbury is making the transition from star player to coach to China

Stephon Marbury was the fourth overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft.

He played 846 games in the Association, averaging 19.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for the New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Jersey Nets, Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics.

Now 42 years old, Marbury is arguably the biggest American sporting name in China, a true superstar name in the country, carving out an impressive career in the Chinese Basketball Association, where he won three Championships.

In February 2018, Marbury played his final game in the CBA, scoring 20 points for the Beijing Fly Dragons.

Just over a year later, he was announced as head coach of the Beijing Royal Fighters.
