With his fifth assist against the Sacramento Kings, Stephen Curry recorded the 5,000th of his career.

For the historic dime, he threw the ball ahead in transition for a 3-pointer to his brother-in-law Damion Lee.

Curry, who was already the franchise's all-time assists leader, becomes the first Warriors player ever and 69th player in NBA history to reach and pass the 5,000 assists milestone.

The two-time former league MVP averaged (8.5 assists) and totaled (666 assists) the most assists in the 2013-14 season, his first All-Star year.

Earlier in the game against the Kings in Sacramento, Curry broke another record. A more familiar one when it comes to Curry as he continues his 3-point streak.

With his first 3-pointer of the game, he extended his current active streak of 128 games with at least one 3-pointer — the second-longest streak in NBA history.

The 128-game streak, which began on Dec. 1, 2018, is the longest active streak in the league and is second all-time only to Curry's NBA record of 157 games, which he recorded between Nov. 13, 2014 and Nov. 3, 2016.

The three-time NBA champion is fast approaching Ray Allen's all-time 3-pointers made record of 2,973, needing only 132 more - prior to the Kings game - to surpass the Hall of Famer and become the all-time leader.
