Stephen Curry hopes 'Dubs Nation' keeps potential Lakers' bandwagon in check

Stephen Curry and LeBron James have met each other four straight times in the NBA Finals, and with LeBron coming to the West joining the Lakers that streak has come to an end.

The rivalry between the two stars however just took on a whole new life. Speaking at his annual elite camp at Ultimate Fieldhouse, Curry acknowledged that the battle of California will be must-watch TV.

"And a whole new-look Laker team with some of the young kids. It should be fun, the Bay Area and L.A. and the whole thing," Curry told the AP via Fox Sports Monday.

"When I first got into the league Oracle would be buzzing any time the Lakers came in. There probably will be a revolution of Laker fans that are going to try to creep in but I hope Bay Area and Dub Nation we keep control of that competition because we're on top right now."

The NBA schedule is set to be released later this week. The Warriors will likely be opening the season at home - as is the tradition in the NBA - allowing them to receive their rings and raise their 2018 championship banner in front of a national TV audience.

Sure Not Now

Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reported that there's a good chance the Warriors will open up against the Oklahoma City Thunder when the season tips off on October 16th.

They'll be no shortage of Lakers vs Warriors Curry vs LeBron games this year as their teams will squad off four times in the regular season.

It will be interesting to see whether or not the games get placed in a marquee spot like Christmas day, or Martin Luther King Day. Or if the league schedules a home-and-home series between the two Cali teams like they did in November of 2016.

Only a couple more sleeps until we find out.
