Just two months after four-time NBA champion Manu Ginobili announced his retirement from the NBA, the San Antonio Spurs have announced that they will retire his No. 20 jersey on March 28, 2019.

Over the course of his 16-year career with the Spurs, Ginobili made his way into the franchise's all-time top five in nine major statistical categories including points, minutes and games played; he is the franchise's all-time leader in made 3-pointers and steals. He retired having amassed over 14,000 points, 4,000 assists and 1,000 steals in his legendary career.

Ginobili earned a number of honours during his time in the NBA including an All-Rookie Second Team selection in 2003, two All-Star selections and two All-NBA Third Team selections.

In 2008, Ginobili became the only player in Spurs franchise history to be named Sixth Man of the Year.

The No. 20 jersey will go into the rafters of the AT&T Center during a special ceremony following a late-March game between the Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers.
