Report: Paul Millsap agrees to deal with Brooklyn Nets

Paul Millsap has agreed to a deal with the Brooklyn Nets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Millsap reportedly considered signing with several playoff contenders before making his decision, a list that includes the Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and LA Clippers.

The No. 47 pick in the 2006 NBA Draft, Millsap has career averages of 13.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. He's earned four All-Star selections, as well as one All-Defensive Second Team selection.

Millsap spent the last four seasons with the Denver Nuggets. He appeared in 56 games (36 starts) last season, posting 9.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game on .476/.343/.724 shooting splits.

Millsap joins a Nets team that is loaded with star power. It's headlined by a Big Three of Kyrie Irving, James Harden and Kevin Durant, and features a pair of former All-Stars in Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.

Millsap is primed to replace Jeff Green, who signed with the Nuggets in free agency, in the rotation.
