Report: Orlando Magic to be without Nikola Vucevic for 'a minimum' of four weeks

The Orlando Magic will reportedly be without Nikola Vucevic for some time.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the one-time All-Star will be out for a minimum of four weeks with a right ankle injury.

Vucevic suffered the injury in Orlando's loss to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. He left the game with three points, five rebounds and five assists in 10 minutes of action.

Vucevic is averaging 17.1 points, 11.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game on the season. He leads the Magic in scoring and rebounding while ranking behind only D.J. Augustin in assists. With Vucevic on the floor, the Magic have been scoring at a rate of 109.1 points per 100 possessions compared to 90.2 with him on the bench.

Vucevic's injury could open more minutes for Mo Bamba and Khem Birch.

Following their loss to the Raptors, the Magic have a 6-8 record, the eighth-best in the Eastern Conference. They are currently on a four-game road trip that includes stops in Indiana, Detroit and Cleveland. The Magic return home on Nov. 29 for a matchup with the Raptors.
