It didn't take the New York Knicks long to find a replacement for Steve Mills.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne, the Knicks are planning to hire Leon Rose as the franchise's next president of basketball operations.

Rose is currently an agent at CAA, an agency that represents the likes of Devin Booker, Joel Embiid, Chris Paul and Karl-Anthony Towns. In hiring an agent to run their front office, the Knicks are following a similar model as the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers, who are run by Bob Myers and Rob Pelinka, respectively.

Wojnarowski and Shelburne added that no formal deal is expected to be announced soon, with negotiations expected to begin after Thursday's trade deadline.

At 15-36, the Knicks currently have the third-worst record in the Eastern Conference this season. They haven't made the playoffs since the 2012-13 season.
