Report: Marvin Williams to sign with Milwaukee Bucks after agreeing to buyout with the Charlotte Hornets

Marvin Williams is set to sign with the first-place Milwaukee Bucks after agreeing to a buyout with the Charlotte Hornets, per The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Williams, in his 15th season in the league, was selected 2nd overall in the 2005 Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. After spending seven seasons in Atlanta, Williams played in Salt Lake City representing the Utah Jazz before he arrived in Charlotte in 2014.

He has career averages of 10.3 points and 5.2 rebounds on 44.3% shooting from the field and 36.2% from beyond the arc.

This season, as a veteran, Williams' minutes have dropped for the Hornets. After starting all the previous 310 games over the past four seasons, he has only recorded one start this season.

The Bucks, who intend to sign Williams, have the best record in the league at 44-7.
