Report: Free agent forward Serge Ibaka agrees to two-year deal with LA Clippers

After the first 24 hours of free agency, Serge Ibaka was among the best remaining players on the board. He didn't remain available for too long, though.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Ibaka has agreed to a two-year deal with the LA Clippers.

Per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Ibaka's deal is worth $19 million, with a player option for the second year.

Aged 30, Ibaka is coming off a stellar season with the Toronto Raptors.

In 55 regular-season games, Ibaka averaged 15.4 points and 8.2 rebounds on 38.5% shooting from beyond the arc in just 27.0 minutes of playing time. He became more efficient in fewer minutes during the 2020 postseason, averaging 14.8 points and 7.7 rebounds while knocking 3s at a 51.1% clip.

In Los Angeles, Ibaka reunites with Kawhi Leonard, a former teammate on the Toronto Raptors 2019 championship-winning squad.

This reported deal is huge for the Clippers, who reportedly lost their reigning Sixth Man of the Year Montrezl Harrell to their cross-town rivals - the Los Angeles Lakers.

Deals can only be agreed upon in principle until Nov. 22 at 12:01 p.m. ET, when they can be signed and made official.
