The Denver Nuggets have signed free agent wing Nick Young, the team announced Monday.

The Nuggets signed Young to the injury hardship relief exception granted by the NBA. Denver enters the week with six players (Will Barton, Gary Harris, Paul Millsap, Michael Porter Jr., Isaiah Thomas and Jarred Vanderbilt) out due to injury. In an additional move, the team waived rookie guard Brandon Goodwin.

Young, an 11-year veteran, immediately provides the depth to help sure up the Nuggets' depleted rotation. As a member of the NBA champion Golden State Warriors last season, the 33-year-old averaged 7.3 points over 80 games (eight starts) while shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 37.7 percent from 3-point range.

Denver (17-9) takes the floor three times this week and Young could see action for the first time since the NBA Finals when the Nuggets host the Memphis Grizzlies Monday night.
