More changes are coming for the Houston Rockets.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Rockets general manager Daryl Morey is stepping down.
Wojnarowski added that Morey will remain in an advisory role to assist in the team's search for a new head coach after Mike D'Antoni told the Rockets he wouldn't return next season.

Morey has been Houston's general manager since the 2007-08 season and signed a five-year extension with the franchise in 2019. He isn't ruling out a future in the NBA, Wojnarowski reports, but he has become "increasingly determined to explore what else might interest him professionally."
In Morey's place, the Rockets are reportedly looking to promote Rafael Stone to general manager. Stone is currently the Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.
The Rockets finished the 2019-20 season with a 44-28 record, earning them the fourth seed in the Western Conference. They defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in seven games in the first round and lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in five games in the second round.
The team's stars Russell Westbrook and James Harden are under contract for at least two more seasons. They both have player options for the 2022-23 season, worth $46.7 million for Westbrook and $46.9 million for Harden.
