Carmelo Anthony's debut for the Portland Trail Blazers won't take place until Tuesday's matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Per Woj, Anthony is still to complete a physical with the Blazers, which could take place Saturday in order to finalise his one-year non-guaranteed contract.
The 10-time All-Star signed a one-year non-guaranteed contract with the Blazers Thursday ahead of their six-game road trip. According to ESPN's Boby Marks, Anthony's deal will pay him $14,490 for each day he is on the Blazers' roster, with the deal becoming guaranteed on January 7 if he's still on the roster.

Anthony's scheduled debut against the Pelicans means he will miss their first two games of the road trip against the San Antonio Spurs and his former team, the Houston Rockets.
The 35-year-old hasn't played in the NBA since his short-lived 10-game stint with the Rockets last season, where he averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game on 40.5% shooting from the field and 32.8% from beyond the arc.
The Blazers are in desperate need of reinforcements after a wave of frontcourt injuries to Zach Collins, Pau Gasol and Jusuf Nurkic. Currently, at 4-8 on the season, the Blazers sit 13th in the Western Conference.
