Buddy Hield has agreed to a contract extension with the Sacramento Kings, Sam Amick of The Athletic reports.

The Kings and Hield have agreed to a four-year, $86 million extension with up to $20 million in incentives that could get his total earnings up to $106 million. There is no team or player option attatched in the deal, Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes reports.

Hield and the Kings were reportedly struggling to come to terms on a deal but have made things work prior to the contract extension deadline.

The former No. 6 overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft is coming off of a breakout season where he led Sacramento in scoring with 20.7 points per game shooting 42.7% from 3-point range. He also averaged 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, both of which were career-highs.

The 26-year old has emerged as one of the elite perimeter shooters in the NBA and is a key piece in the Kings' bright young core.
