The Raptors will introduce Nick Nurse as their new head coach at 2:30 PM on Thursday at the Air Canada Centre.

You can watch the press conference below:

Nurse takes over as Toronto's head coach after the franchise parted ways with Coach of the Year finalist Dwane Casey on May 11. A native of Carroll, Iowa, Nurse has been with the Raptors as an assistant coach since 2013 and was credited with helping the team modernize its offense this season with a more "Moreyball" approach.

The Raptors won a franchise-record 59 games in 2017-18 and entered the playoffs with the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. They beat the Wizards in six games in the first round before losing to LeBron James and the Cavaliers for the third consecutive season.

Led by Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, Nurse will be tasked with helping the Raptors take the next step in their quest to contend for an NBA title. His hiring could benefit Jonas Valanciunas and Masai Ujiri the most.
