The Toronto Raptors have cancelled practice scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 9 due to the NBA's Health and Safety Protocols, the team announced.

The Raptors provided an official statement to announce the decision:

"We are cancelling today's practice due to health and safety protocols. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution, and further updates will be provided when necessary."

The Raptors' decision comes on the heels of a game played against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, Dec. 8. Toronto is next scheduled to take the floor on Friday, Dec. 10 when it hosts the New York Knicks.

In addition to the Raptors, the Indiana Pacers have cancelled a practice scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 9 after a meeting with the Knicks on Wednesday, Dec. 8.

This past week, the Raptors and Pacers shared another common opponent in the Washington Wizards, who first played in Toronto on Sunday, Dec. 5 before travelling to play in Indiana on Monday, Dec. 6. Pacers forward Justin Holiday was placed in the NBA's Health and Safety Protocols on Tuesday, Nov. 30.

As of now, no other players from either team have been placed within the health and safety protocols, which sideline any player that tests positive for COVID-19 for a minimum of 10 days.

More to come.
