OG Anunoby defends DeMar DeRozan

Wednesday's meeting with the Chicago Bulls will mark only the second time the Toronto Raptors have played in the last week.

The two teams were scheduled to play each other on Thursday, Dec. 16, but the game was postponed as the Bulls had 10 players and additional staff members in the NBA's Health and Safety Protocols at the time. The Raptors played the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, Dec. 18 but their matchup with the Orlando Magic on Monday, Dec. 20 was one of a handful of games postponed "in response to rising coronavirus numbers."

The Raptors currently have seven players in the league's health and safety protocols in Scottie Barnes, Precious Achiuwa, Fred VanVleet, Malachi Flynn, Gary Trent Jr., Pascal Siakam and Dalano Banton. The Bulls have five in Troy Brown Jr., Ayo Dosunmu, Alize Johnson, Zach LaVine and Matt Thomas.

Despite having a limited roster, the Bulls are coming off of back-to-back wins entering Wednesday's contest.

After spending almost two weeks in the league's health and safety protocols himself, DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls to a thrilling win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday with 38 points.

DeRozan followed that up with a 26-point outing in a commanding win over the Houston Rockets on Monday.

This will be the second time the Raptors have faced the Bulls this season. The Bulls defeated the Raptors in a close one on Oct. 25, with DeRozan leading Chicago to a 111-108 victory.
