Just quietly, the Toronto Raptors have gotten themselves back into the playoff picture, but the back end of their five-game road trip will tell us a lot about who this team is.

On Friday, the Raptors began a five-game road trek with a matchup against the Detroit Pistons, and next, they face the defending champion, Milwaukee Bucks, on the second night of a back-to-back.

TAKEAWAYS: Raptors suffer setback loss to Pistons

This will be the third time these two have faced each other this season, but it will be the first game that the Bucks MVP candidate superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo will suit up.

In early December, led by Fred VanVleet's 29 points, the Bucks took advantage of Antetokounmpo sitting out with a sore right calf to end the Bucks' eight-game winning streak at Scotiabank Arena. The Greek Freak missed the return game in Milwaukee on Jan. 5 with a non-Covid related illness, and Toronto was led by Pascal Siakam's 33 points to come away with a 117-111 victory at FiservForum.

Following Saturday's game against the Bucks, the Raptors will face the Miami Heat (Jan. 17), Dallas Mavericks (Jan. 19) and Washington Wizards (Jan. 21). They will return to Toronto on Jan. 23 for a matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Raptors are currently 12-11 at home and 9-8 on the road this season.
