Breaking down the Raptors 905 roster ahead of 2021-22 NBA G League season

The Raptors 905 are back in Mississauga for the 2021-22 NBA G League season.

After a year spent at the G League "bubble" at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, FL, "The Road to the Six" again begins at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre.

As part of the G League's new season structure, the Raptors 905 will open the 2021-22 season with two home games against the Westchester Knicks, the G League affiliate of the New York Knicks.

With the season getting underway, who is on the Raptors 905's opening day roster? We've got you covered with everything about the team's roster this season. Keep in mind that young players on standard contracts with Toronto (e.g. Dalano Banton and Malachi Flynn) could be assigned to the 905 throughout the season.

Raptors 905 roster breakdown

Justin Champagnie

Forward | 6-6 | 200 pounds

One of two two-way players on the Raptors 905 roster, Champagnie signed with the Toronto Raptors after averaging 18.0 points and 11.1 rebounds in his sophomore season at Pitt.

David Johnson

Guard | 6-5 | 210 pounds

Johnson, the No. 47 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, averaged 12.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists while shooting 38.6 percent from 3 as a sophomore at Louisville last season.

Alex Antetokounmpo

Forward | 6-8 | 214 pounds

The youngest brother of the Antetokounmpo family, Alex joins the Raptors after spending last season in Spain. Brothers Giannis and Thanasis play for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jawun Evans

Guard | 6-0 | 190 pounds

Drafted 39th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft, Evans has appeared in a total of 56 NBA games with the LA Clippers, Phoenix Suns and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Romaro Gill

Center | 7-2 | 255 pounds

The tallest member of the Raptors 905 roster, Gill appeared in 12 games with the Salt Lake City Stars during the 2021 NBA G League season.

Ashton Hagans

Guard | 6-3 | 198 pounds

Hagans spent two seasons at Kentucky, where he was named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and earned All Defensive First Team honours in 2020. He signed a two-way contract with the Timberwolves last season but was released after violating the G League's COVID protocols.

Josh Hall

Forward | 6-8 | 200 pounds

Hall is the latest preps-to-pros sensation, signing a two-way contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder last season straight out of Moravian Prep in North Carolina. Hall appeared in 21 games (one start) with the Thunder in the 2020-21 season.

Kevon Harris

Guard/Forward | 6-6 | 219 pounds

Harris spent four seasons at mid-major powerhouse Stephen F. Austin, where he averaged 17.5 points and 5.7 rebounds as a senior in 2019-20.

Obadiah Noel

Guard | 6-4 | 190 pounds

A rookie out of UMass Lowell, Noel averaged 21.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the Riverhawks during his senior season in 2020-21.

Reggie Perry

Forward | 6-8 | 250 pounds

Perry, who just spent training camp with the Raptors, made 26 NBA appearances with the Brooklyn Nets last season.

Andrew Rowsey

Guard | 5-11 | 180 pounds

Rowsey has been a pure scorer everywhere he's played, amassing over 2,000 points during his college career at UNC Asheville and Marquette. He's spent the last two seasons with the G League's Lakeland Magic, averaging 17.3 points while shooting 43.2 percent from deep.

Breein Tyree

Guard | 6-2 | 195 pounds

Tyree enjoyed a four-year career at the University of Mississippi, averaging 19.7 points per game as a senior. He averaged 9.6 points over nine games with Raptors 905 during the 2021 NBA G League season.
