Paul George won't make his LA Clippers debut against the Toronto Raptors

Paul George's debut with the LA Clippers won't come against the Toronto Raptors.

While Clippers head coach Doc Rivers said earlier in the weekend that it was a possibility that George would play in Monday's contest, the six-time All-Star is listed as out on the NBA's latest injury report.

A report from Sam Amick of The Athletic earlier this week indicated that George's return was more likely to come either when the Clippers play the Houston Rockets (Nov. 13) or the New Orleans Pelicans (Nov. 14) this week. Either way, he will make his Clippers debut soon.

George is coming off of the best season of his career. With averages of 28.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.2 steals per game, he was a finalist for both MVP and DPOY.

George was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Clippers in the offseason. He has been sidelined after undergoing two procedures, one on his right shoulder to repair a partially torn tendon, the other on his left shoulder to repair a small tear in his labrum.

The Clippers are 6-3 without George to start the season, with wins coming against the Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz, San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers. Two of their three losses came in games Kawhi Leonard missed due to load management.
