On the second night of the NBA season there was plenty of action with 11 games on the schedule.

22 teams opened their season Wednesday, and there were a number of notable debuts. Kawhi Leonard scored 24 points in his first regular-season win as a Raptor and DeMar DeRozan led the Spurs to a win with 28 points.

The Rockets, who lost just seven games at home last season, suffered a 19-point loss to Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans. Davis scored a game-high 32 points and made his presence felt on both ends of the floor.

No. 1 overall pick Deandre Ayton lived up to his top-pick billing with an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double in the Suns win over the Mavs while Clippers rookie Shai Gilgeous-Alexander used a big first half to finish in double-figure scoring in a narrow loss to the Nuggets.
