On December 5 in 2016, the 17-3 Golden State Warriors were hosting the 10-10 Indiana Pacers at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.
After being stunned in their season opener by the San Antonio Spurs, the Warriors won 17 of the next 19 games heading into this one. On the other hand, the Pacers struggled to find any momentum, neither winning nor losing more than two consecutive contests heading into this matchup.
In a Warriors squad with three other All-Stars, it was Klay Thompson that took center stage in this one. He went off for a career-high 60 points in just 29 minutes to help the Warriors to cruise to a dominant 142-106 win.

Amazingly, Thompson dribbled the ball just 11 times and held the ball for just 90 seconds.
He became the first player in NBA history to score at least 60 in less than 30 minutes.
“I felt great, obviously,” Thompson told NBA TV during a post-game interview. “It was fun. I was in a great rhythm. I took all good shots, for the most part. Still missed a few wide-open threes I wish I could get back. It was a fun night, to say the least."

He became the fourth player in franchise history after Wilt Chamberlain, Rick Barry and Joe Fulks to score at least 60 points. In fact, Thompson's tally was the most in the NBA through three quarters since Kobe Bryant scored 62 against the Dallas Mavericks in 2006.
