As March 2007 continued to roll on, the Lakers were skidding.

Losers of seven straight games heading in to this night, Kobe Bryant was determined to change that.

Bryant accounted for over half of the Lakers score in this one, EXPLODING for 65 points in the Lakers 116-111 overtime win.

Today's edition of #NBATogetherLive is reliving the incredible performance at Staples Center.

Watch the game at 8:00pm ET:

Kobe would finish 23-for-39 from the field, including a scorching hot 8-for-12 from beyond the 3-point line and 11-for-12 from the free-throw line.

33 of Bryant's 65 points came in the fourth quarter or overtime, as he tallied the second-highest scoring mark of his career - only behind the historic 81-point night against Toronto.

The monster night against Portland was just the beginning for Bryant, as he would top 50 points in each of the next three games, joining Wilt Chamberlain as the only other player with such a streak.
