On May 12, 2019, Kawhi Leonard created history with the first Game 7 buzzer-beater in NBA history!

With time winding down and the scores tied, Leonard let it fly from the baseline over the outstretched arm of Joel Embiid, with his iconic jumper bouncing on the rim four times as the Scotiabank Arena held it's breath, before the ball dropped in.

HIs shot propelled the Toronto Raptors past the Philadelphia 76ers with the 92-90 victory, booking their place in the Eastern Conference Finals for the second time in franchise history.

The final shot gave Leonard 41 points for the game to go with eight rebounds and three assists. He averaged 34.7 points per game for the series.

"It was great," Leonard said. "That's something I never experienced before — Game 7, winning shot. It's a blessing to get to that point and make that shot and feel that moment and it's something I can look back on in my career."

The Raptors would go on to beat the Milwaukee Bucks in six games after trailing 2-0 in the Conference Finals. Leonard continued his amazing run in the NBA Finals as the raptors secured their first championship in franchise history, beating the Golden State Warriors in six games.
