#NBATogetherLive: Charles Barkley's career-high 56 points vs. Warriors in 1994

On May 4 in 1994, Charles Barkley put on a show in the playoffs!

In Game 3 of the Phoenix Suns' first-round playoff matchup with the Golden State Warriors, Barkley exploded for a playoff and career-high 56 points in a 140-133 win to sweep the series.

Barkley scored a record 38 points in the first half, including hitting his first 11 shots, with his 56 points, tied for the third-highest total in NBA playoff history, trailing only Michael Jordan (63) and Elgin Baylor (61).

"They kind of forced the issue by not doubling me," Barkley said. "I hope it's not the last time I see single coverage. I kind of like it. It was a good workout."

On the night, he shot 23-of-31 from the field, 3-of-4 from the three-point line, adding 14 rebounds, four assists, three steals and a blocked shot.

Watch the game below:

"He was just incredible," said Warriors rookie Chris Webber. He was taking bad shots and they were going in. He was taking double fadeaway shots and step-back three-pointers. When he's like that, you can triple-team him and it doesn't mean anything."

In 10 playoff games in 1994, Barkley averaged 27.6 points, 13 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
