Earlier this week, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul led around 2,500 people on a march to an early-voting site on the campus of Winston-Salem State University, a historically Black college in North Carolina.
According to Winston-Salem Journal, the Winston-Salem State University Government Association sponsored the "March to the Polls Part 2" event to encourage both students and city residents to cast their votes early for the upcoming election.
Paul shared a video from the march on social media, tweeting "what a time we had today!!"
"Y'all see the power of having all of you together," Paul said to hundreds of students at one point. "Y'all can really make a difference."

Paul was born in Winston-Salem and played basketball at Wake Forest University before he was selected with the No. 4 pick in the 2005 NBA Draft.
Following his 15th season in the NBA, Paul announced that he has enrolled at Winston-Salem State University where he is reportedly taking two communication classes.
Paul has been vocal about the importance of voting ahead of the election and played a big role in the NBA's focus on social justice efforts in the season restart.
