The NBA released it's 2019-20 schedule on Monday afternoon and it comes as no surprise that the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers lead the way in national TV games.
The Lakers led the way with 31 national TV games in 2018-19. This year, with the addition of Anthony Davis and the expectations of a championship they'll once again appear on national TV 31 times with an additional 12 on NBA TV U.S.
The Clippers - the Lakers cross-town rivals - will be featured on TV 26 times, a franchise high. With the addition of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the Clippers have now become must-watch TV. Last season, LA's other team was on national TV just 15 times in the U.S.
The Toronto Raptors, who had 27 U.S. national TV games last season, will appear on U.S. TV 11 times. Opening night and Christmas Day will be the days the Raptors get to showcase the 2019-20 version of themselves with Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry at the helm.
The Golden State Warriors, who no longer have Kevin Durant and will be without Klay Thompson for the start of the season, will still be on national TV 30 times. Last season, the Warriors were featured 40 times on national television.
TNT will televise 19 Thursday doubleheaders and 12 Tuesday doubleheaders during the 2019-20 season. ESPN will air 21 Wednesday doubleheaders and 15 Friday doubleheaders. ABC will also televise the NBA Finals in 2020, making it 18 straight seasons for the network.
All 30 NBA teams will be scheduled to appear multiple times on NBA TV in the U.S. in the 2019-20 season.
